Six rules
- One graphite CTA per viewport. Primary action = graphite #1E1E2A. Never decorative.
- No pure black. Ink is #1E1E2A. Pure #000 reads cheap on Mercury's cool near-white.
- Magenta is the error color, not red. Mercury convention. #D03275.
- No NDOT, no glass, no gradients. Hierarchy comes from hairline borders + tabular numbers.
- Motion is mechanical. 150ms default. No bounces, no count-ups on web.
- The rep comes first. Every UX decision asks: “does this help or hurt the 7-second door decision?”
